By using or accessing this website and/or placing any order(s), you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions. All other terms and conditions, including those that may be proposed in any order submitted by you, are expressly excluded and shall have no effect.
Receipt by Hi Sell Direct of an order via our website, email or telephone does not constitute legal acceptance of an order. Your order will be deemed to have been accepted by us only once you have received written confirmation of our acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse your order for any reason we see fit.
These terms relate to sales by Telephone, email or Internet related only. Separate terms and condition apply to purchases made directly from our stores.

- HOW TO PLACE AN ORDER
The simplest way to place an order is to telephone us at our Gamlingay Branch on 01767 650529 asking for Dave Phillips or Gary Woollard
Or at the St Ives Branch 01480 300511 Asking for Cliff Maskell or Mick Rawlings.
We are open Monday - Friday 9am until 5.30pm, Saturday 10am until 5pm. Sunday 10.30am until 4.30pm
However if it is out of our normal trading times, could you kindly email us on email@example.com with your enquiry with as much information as possible relating to your potential purchase, your name, address including postcode, and any contact telephone numbers.
When you place an order with us (Hi Sell Direct) you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you confirmation by telephone, email or post that we have received your order.
In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or there is a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this, you will receive an email-confirming acceptance of your order and there will be no contract between us.
Payment may be made by Debit or Credit Card. If your order contains any item with a lead-time of more then 4 weeks, we will require a deposit of 25% by card, the balance must be paid in full on the same card or a card registered to the delivery address before final delivery is made. As part of the payment process, you will be requested to confirm that you agree to this. A receipt for the balance payment will be posted to your billing address if required. We do not operate a ‘cash on delivery’ system and all payment are made in sterling.
All our quoted prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate, however adjustments will have to be made to comply with any changes in rates or other legally imposed changes in respect of VAT.
- DELIVERY, RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS
Generally where an order contains more that one item, all items will be delivered at the same time once all items are available.
Delivery can only be made to a mainland Great Britain address subject to postcode conditions. (Charges may apply)
All delivery lead times shown on this web site are estimated and cover working days only.
You will be contacted by telephone or email to confirm your delivery date, once a delivery date has been agreed a person 18 years or over must be present on this date to take delivery. If for any reason you become unavailable to take delivery please contract our customer service department as soon as possible, in any case no later than 4 working days in advance, other wise we reserve the right to levy a second delivery charge to cover the cost of the failed delivery.
It is your responsibility to ensure the item(s) you have ordered WILL PASS THROUGH ALL ACCESS POINTS IN YOUR HOME. Once delivery has been made to your door you will be responsible for them. You must inspect your goods and make a note on the delivery document if there are any shortage or damages. If you have not received all of your order or items are damaged and have noted this on the delivery document it is then your responsibility to inform us by email or telephone on day of delivery of any shortage or damages from day of delivery. We will not accept responsibility for goods reported as missing or damaged if you have signed the delivery document and no note has been made. If goods are damaged, and we are unable to repair the item to manufacturing standards, we will send a replacement item upon confirmation that the damaged item has been returned to us. For reason of health and hygiene any mattress, sofa bed or divan unless faulty that has been unwrapped will be deemed used and as such we be unable to be return for a refund. A replacement item would normally take as long to deliver as a new order. Delivery will only be made to the address as stated in your original order and they will not be left without a signature. Title of the product will pass to you once you have received the goods and we have received full and cleared payment. Should you wish to return your goods for any valid reason (see section 13/14), you must contact our customer service department for authorisation within 7 days of delivery to arrange collection this collection will be at your expense. Any money, which you have paid, will be refunded within 30 days less collection costs. We must receive your goods in as new conditions with all accessories and components and with original packaging, items which are not adequately packaged at time of collection, will not be collected and a minimum charge of £50 plus VAT will be levied to cover cost of failed collection. A full refund of the cost of the goods is wholly conditional upon the above condition being met and will only be authorised after a full inspection of the goods by ourselves. Any items returned that does not conform to these conditions will be subject to a surcharge or will be returned to you at your expense.
We will endeavour to meet any date agreed for delivery, however we will not accept liability for any losses, cost, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivery goods.
- DISPOSAL OF OLD FURNITURE
We cannot collect or dispose of your old furniture. However we ask that you do not dispose of your old sofa, table or bed if at all possible until delivery has been made by us, in the unlikely event of a delivery problem arising.
Unfortunately we do not have the facility to store your product for any length of time therefore if you cannot take the product within two weeks of us advising you of its availability, we will charge storage charges of £35 per week for a maximum of four weeks, after which we deem the order to be cancelled.
Where the product is standard stock line, the stock will be return to free stock, which means that it will be made available to other customers. In this case we cannot guarantee immediate product availability when you are ready to take the order.
This will not apply where a product is available earlier than the lead-time indicated or where you have specifically stipulated by a ‘ not before date’ at the point of order.
- PRODUCT INFORMATION
The product manufacturers have obtained all product information, which includes images and dimensions and product finish. We endeavour to ensure all information is up to date and accurate as possible. All accessories supplied with a product are subject to change or upgrade at the manufacturers discretion. We will supply the product as supplied to us by the manufacturer. Whilst ever effort will be made to match all colours and finishes, goods are supplied on the understanding that there may be slight dye, shade and grain variations, particularly with natural products such as wood. Leather products are made from quality hides and may not be uniform in colour or texture and will show natural marks and scars. Where stated, some images have been digitally created to illustrate the colour options available for this range. These colours will be affected by your monitor and by your printer and therefore may not be 100% accurate to the finished product. Exact colour swatches can be seen in store.
- SIZE AND DESCRIPTION OF PRODUCT
All size quoted are approximate, size and product descriptions are given in good faith from our supplier’s information. Products are manufactured to perform within the appropriate industry measurement tolerances.
- VARIATION IN PRODUCT SPECIFICATION
Due to the shortage of certain new raw materials, changes in legislation or safety requirement some products supplied by the company may have minor technical alterations and could differ slightly in actual construction from the goods shown in sample or pattern form. The company state any changes that are made will result in a performance of an equally high or improved standard. The quality coding will remain the same and the quality guarantee will continue to apply.
The manufacturer guarantees all goods supplied for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery in respect of faulty workmanship or materials. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

These may be purchased separately to further protect your investment. Further details on request.
- GENERAL CARE
The product(s) supplied are to be used for the purpose and in the manner for which they were designed. Most manufactures include care and maintenance advises with their products, which should be read and followed. No responsibility will be accepted for damaged caused by cleaning if the care and maintenance instructions have not been followed.
- AMENDING OR CANCELLING YOUR ORDER WITHIN 7 DAY OF PLACING YOUR ORDER
We promise to give you a full refund if you change your mind for any reason within 7 days of placing your order with us. After this date we will have in most cases a binding contract with our suppliers to supply or make your product.
- CANCELLING YOUR ORDER AFTER 7 DAYS OF PLACING YOUR ORDER
- MADE TO ORDER PRODUCTS
Made to order products, such as sofas and beds, which have been produced specifically for you, therefore no refunds or exchange can be made after 7 days of placing your order unless there is an error on our part regarding the product specification, or the item is found to be faulty.
- CANCELLATIONS BY HI SELL DIRECT
We reserve the right not to accept an order if:
- We do not have stock to fulfil the order
- If we are unable to deliver the product to your area
- If an item was incorrectly priced or described on the web site
- If your payment was not authorised
- If you have not complied with our terms and condition of sale
- COMPLAINTS AND REMARKS
If you have a complaint or particular remark to make please do not hesitate to contact us immediately by telephone or e-mail. Any complaint will be dealt fairly, effectively and confidentially, your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected.
If any parts of these terms and condition are unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other parts of these terms and conditions will not be affected.
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and you hereby agree to be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts are concluded in English.

The information contained in this website may contain technical inaccuracies or typographical errors. All liability of Hi Sell Direct however arising for any such inaccuracies or error is expressly excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law.
